By purchasing any product or service from NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd (“the Company”), you (“the Customer”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with your purchase.
1. EXCHANGE POLICY AND SURCHARGES
1.1 All engines are sold on an exchange basis unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
1.2 A surcharge is payable in advance and is refundable upon return of the complete exchange unit.
1.3 Returned engines must be complete and free from damage (e.g., no missing parts, seized injectors, or block damage). Failure to comply may reduce the refundable amount.
2. WARRANTY CONDITIONS
2.1 Do not dismantle or tamper with the engine. Doing so voids the warranty.
2.2 If a fault arises, the engine must be removed intact and returned for inspection. The Company will either repair or replace it at its sole discretion. Labour or removal costs are not covered.
2.3 Warranty claims must be made within the applicable period. The Customer is responsible for delivering the engine/vehicle to the Company for inspection and/or repairs.
2.4 During high demand, a minimum of three (3) working days is required for diagnostics.
2.5 Only factory-specified oil (5W20 for 1.0 EcoBoost engines) must be used. Any deviation will void the warranty.
2.6 A mandatory oil and filter change must be carried out within 1,000 miles or one (1) month of engine supply/fitting, whichever comes first at NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd. Approval must be given by us to go to another VAT registered garage.
2.7 Valid service documentation in form of invoice must be provided, including service date, vehicle registration, oil type used & VAT registered garage information within 7 days of service.
2.8 Execution of Warranty Documentation
The validity of any warranty provided by the Company is strictly conditional upon the Customer’s execution of the Company’s warranty documentation via DocuSign (or any successor electronic signature platform), where required. Failure to do so shall render the warranty null and void. No warranty shall be deemed to have commenced unless the documentation has been fully executed.
3. SERVICE AND FITTING RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Customers must replace all accessible seals and wearable parts (e.g., spark plugs, thermostats) prior to installation.
3.2 Engines must be installed by a qualified mechanic.
3.3 The Company is not liable for damages or failures caused by third-party fitment errors or omissions.
4. COLLECTION, STORAGE & RETURNS
4.1 Vehicles must be collected within five (5) days post-repair completion.
4.2 After seven (7) days of failed contact, a storage fee of £25/day will be incurred.
4.3 Parts/vehicles uncollected after 14 days will be resold or disposed of.
4.4 Returned parts must be received within seven (7) days of payment.
4.5 Engines must be drained of oil and strapped to a pallet for collection. Non-compliance incurs a £35 recollection charge.
5. LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTY
5.1 Warranty covers the engine block, sump, and internal components only. Cylinder head cracking is excluded.
5.2 Engine ancillaries carry a standard three (3) month warranty when purchased separately, unless manufacturer warranty given.
5.3 Engines fitted to remapped vehicles, or those with modified/removal of catalytic converters/DPFs, or used for towing, are not covered.
5.4 No warranty covers loss of use, earnings, car hire, or recovery charges.
5.5 No warranty applies if the fault results from injectors, turbos, or fitment issues due to third-party negligence.
6. REFUNDS AND REPLACEMENTS
6.1 Cash refunds are not available. Credit notes will be issued within seven (7) days.
6.2 The Company must be given the first opportunity to rectify, repair, or replace any faulty or incorrect goods.
6.3 No refunds will be processed where the Company is not given the opportunity to resolve the issue.
7. ENGINE BREAK-IN PERIOD
7.1 Reconditioned engines require a 500-mile break-in period:
7.2 Failure to comply will void the warranty and relieve the Company of liability except where injury or death is caused by its negligence.
8. FORCE MAJEURE
8.1 The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond its control (e.g., strikes, pandemics, war).
9. DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
9.1 Customers must inspect goods upon delivery. Couriers will wait 15 minutes for inspection.
9.2 If damage is discovered post-acceptance, a £150 transit damage excess fee will apply.
10. WARRANTY TERMS BY ENGINE TYPE
Used 1L EcoBoost (Supply or Fitted): 3 months (excl. cracked head).
Reconditioned 1L EcoBoost (Supply Only): 6 months (excl. cracked head).
Reconditioned 1L EcoBoost (Supplied & Fitted): 2 years (excl. cracked head).
Timing Belt Kits (1L EcoBoost): 2 years manufacture warranty.
Ongoing Servicing: Oil and filter changes every 6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever comes first) must be carried out by NorthWest Engines for the 2-year warranty to remain valid.
11. DEFINITIONS
“Working Day” means any day excluding Saturday, Sunday, or public holidays in the UK.
NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd – Returns & Warranty Terms
These Returns and Warranty Terms apply to all goods supplied by NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By purchasing goods from NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd, the customer agrees to the following terms.
1. Warranty for Faulty Goods
1.1 New Goods
All brand new goods supplied by NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd are covered against manufacturing defects for a period of twelve (12) months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of installation.
1.2 Used Goods
All used goods supplied by NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd are covered against manufacturing defects for a period of three (3) months or 3,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of installation.
1.3 Scope of Warranty
The warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and does not cover faults arising from:

2.1 All products supplied by NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd must be installed by a qualified professional mechanic or automotive technician.
2.2 Failure to ensure professional installation will invalidate any warranty provided.
2.3 In the event of a warranty claim, customers may be required to provide documentary evidence of professional installation, including but not limited to:
3. Mileage Recording Requirement
3.1 When installing any product supplied by NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd, the vehicle mileage must be recorded in the designated installation record form.
3.2 This record must be retained by the customer and may be required as supporting evidence when submitting a warranty claim.
3.3 Failure to provide mileage verification when requested may result in the warranty claim being rejected.
4. Warranty Coverage Limitations
4.1 The warranty provided by NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd covers the goods only.
4.2 The Company shall not be liable for any additional costs, including but not limited to:
. Faulty Goods Inspection Procedure
5.1 All goods believed to be faulty must be returned to NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd for inspection before any refund, repair, or replacement can be authorised.
5.2 Returned goods will undergo technical inspection to determine the cause of the issue.
5.3 The inspection process may take up to fifteen (15) working days from the date the goods are received.
5.4 Upon request, NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd may provide a written inspection report outlining the findings.
5.5 If the goods are confirmed to have a manufacturing defect within the applicable warranty period, NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd may, at its sole discretion:
6. Non-Faulty Returns Policy
6.1 Return Period
Items that are unused, unfitted, and in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase for a full refund.
6.2 Condition of Returned Goods
All returned goods will be inspected upon receipt to confirm that:

6.3 Return Costs
Where goods are returned because they are no longer required or ordered in error, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.

All returns must include proof of purchase, such as a copy of the original invoice.
6.5 Return Documentation
Customers must complete the designated returns form and include it with the returned goods. Failure to include the completed form may delay the processing of the return.
6.6 Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within up to ten (10) working days after the returned goods have been received and inspected.

NorthWest Engines Rochdale Ltd provides all goods and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis, subject to these Terms and Conditions. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our products and services, no guarantees, express or implied, are made regarding their suitability for any specific purpose outside those explicitly stated.
The Company disclaims any liability for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential losses or damages, including but not limited to personal injury, vehicle downtime, loss of income, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the use or misuse of any engine, part, or service provided.
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring compatibility, proper installation, and compliance with all manufacturer recommendations and legal obligations. Any reliance placed on verbal or written advice not confirmed in writing by an authorised representative of the Company is at the Customer’s own risk.
For the avoidance of doubt, no express or implied warranty shall arise unless the Customer has fully executed the Company’s required warranty documentation via DocuSign. The Company accepts no liability for any warranty-related claim where such documentation has not been duly signed.
The warranties outlined in these Terms are the sole warranties provided. No employee, agent, or third party is authorised to modify or extend these warranties without written authorisation from a Company director.
