The wet timing belt synchronises the cam shafts with the revolution of the crankshaft. The belt runs in oil, hence the term wet belt. Hydrocarbon's in old engine oil degrade the belt and it then basically falls apart, belt particles then block the oil pump pick up which causes oil starvation and damages the internal engine parts. Eventually the belt either snaps or the teeth fall off which causes catastrophic failure.

• Condition: Low mileage, internally inspected, cylinder head compression tested
• Includes: New head gaskets and timing belts

• All engines are exchange basis; a £200 refundable surcharge applies and is refunded upon return of your old engine in good condition.

• Drop-Off/Collection: Exchange engines can be dropped off or collected free of charge. Must be strapped on a pallet with all oil/fluids drained.
