The oil pump wet belt is present on all Ecoboost cars from 2012 up to present. Even the newer version timing chain engines have a wet oil pump belt.
The issue with the wet oil pump belt seems to be on automatic cars as its generally the belt tensioner that fails. Chain engines are some 2019 onwards and have the same issues with the tensioner although now we are seeing more manual cars which don't have a tensioner but the oil pump belt is degrading due to the hydrocarbons (the same issue as timing belts).
Cost
£960 Oil pump wet belt replacement including VAT
As we are seeing cars with 25k miles on the clock having issues, we would advise the latest to get your wet oil pump belt changed would be by 40k miles. By changing the original Ford belt to for example a Dayco belt, this is fixing the issue, as it does with the timing belt.
